The 2022 class of 19 Fellows “represents a diverse group of exceptional leaders in the ceramics and glass community. Their professional achievements and service to ACerS have expanded the educational, scientific, technical and/or industrial frontiers of our profession. I commend this class of Fellows for their outstanding achievements,” says Beth Dickey, ACerS president.

Says Hu, “I am deeply humbled by this honor. It is exciting to see the work from my group and our collaborators on photonic glasses being recognized. I am grateful to our students and postdocs: their creativity and hard work have been the key driver for the research accomplishments.”

The Fellows, announced May 17, will receive their awards in October at the ACerS Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA.
