Before reserving any instruments within MRL, you must first become a registered user. After completing the prerequisites for using the lab, a Coral account will be created for you.
You must create an account in MUMMS before you can use Coral to reserve instrument time https://mrllms.mit.edu/mumms.
MUMMS is a web-based application that manages MRL user accounts and permissions. You, as a user, will have to follow the registration process prior to using any equipment in the labs.
To register for MUMMS, please visit https://MIT MRSEC-coral.mit.edu/mumms. Please note that users may be given a warning about untrusted certificates. Please ignore this and set up an exception so you can continue on.

Please note: Microsystems Technology Laboratories (MTL) also uses a Coral system for lab management. The MTL and MRL Coral servers are different, so if you are going to use instruments from MTL and MRL, you must create a different account for each Lab. No information is shared between the MTL and the MRL systems.
Coral System for Non-MIT Users:
Please note that self-use of equipment will only occur after being qualified for instruments by MIT MRL lab managers. Non-MIT users of the MRL Shared Facilities must first register in MUMMS to become a user. Initial use of the MRL Shared Facilities labs will be assisted by lab managers. Self-use of equipment will only occur after being qualified for instruments by MRL lab managers.
